Scales Hall

"Scales Hall is a wonderful jewel in the rough. It's smaller size of only 200 residents is made of a very diverse and eclectic group of students. Through the building community, students are able to both enrich themselves and others because of the intimate nature of the hall. Being made up of half returning and half first year students, there is a lot of energy and building pride that is able to get passed on from class to class for years to come!" ~ Pete Foster, Hall Director

Overview

Students say that the phenomenal view of the lake is priceless, but with 8pm to 10am quiet hours on

weekdays and 2am to 10 am quiet hours on weekends, there is no rush of residence to Scales.

With the addition of a computer lab scales hall is all about convenience for its residents. The computer lab

hours are from 12 noon to 12 am on Monday to Thursday and 12 noon to 10pm on Friday to Sunday.

Lounge

Scales also include 1 main lounge and a recreational room located in the basement. The Main Lounge

is furnished with a flat screen television, coaches, chairs, a piano, and a chalk board.

The Rec. room is where the fun begins, including a ping pong table, air hockey, fuse ball, and a

pool table. The Rec. room is located in the basement

Kitchenette

Although meals may not be as good as a home cooked one, you can always try. The kitchen fully equip

with a sink, stove, oven, cabinets and a microwave, Scales kitchen will make you

feel as if you were home. If you love to cook the kitchen is available 24 hours

7 days a week. (Pots, Pans and other cooking utensils required)

Laundry Room

Scales has 2 laundry rooms located in the basement. The laundry rooms are huge with more than

5 washers and dryers, so doing your laundry should not be a problem.

Laundry cost $1 to wash and the same to dry. The laundry room is open 24 hours 7

days a week.

Vending Machines

For those who do not cook the vending machines are another option for that late night snack.

Fully stocked all day everyday with snacks ranging from Doritos to M & M and even condoms,

although prices can be kind of steep the vending machines are always the solution to a

late night snack attack.

Bathrooms

There are four stalls and four showers. One of the showers has a bathtub.

There are outlets above the sink so bring your electric toothbrushes.

Although they do not come with papertowels or hand dryers, they do come

with hand sanitizer and soap.
