Overview |
The Mackin Complex is made up of Moreland and Lonis Halls. It is often referred to as the retirement community because it is reserved for achieving juniors, seniors and graduate students that typically live here while student teaching, working at internships, and/or finishing up their college careers. Though this year the slogan has been Mackin: its not Retirement, its Assisted Living! The rooms are singles&ldots;so no roommates! It allows for more space and privacy, but maintains the sense of community that comes with dorm life. For example this Fall (2007) Mackin had many activities and workshops on topics such as resume building, getting into grad school and life beyond Oswego.
There are a total of 144 Graduate and Undergraduate students living in single rooms, each room includes a refrigerator, double bed, built in dressers and closets.Although there are three floors, there are no elevators included in the Mackin Complex. |
